I. Love. My. Job.

I simply love what I do and who I do it for. I have multiple titles and would not change it for anything. I never really believed in “loving my job”, and I definitely didn’t believe that I, me Taylor, would find something I genuinely loved that wasn’t traveling or spending time with my husband.

When people ask me “What is your dream job?”… I have always had an answer that I thought was wrong, that made me feel less than (not to the standard of a college graduate). I have always been told I would never make money with my answer. My answer? Oh yeah, my dream job is to serve others and support them in accomplishing their dreams. Getting to know people for who they are and why they are the way they are. I mean serving them in a way that if doing their laundry, grocery shopping or even admin work gave them more time to focus on their dreams I’m all in. I don’t have any huge dreams, yes, I said it. I am not striving my entire life for anything. I don’t have dreams to be a doctor, or Wall Street investor and I am not working my way up the corporate ladder to be a CEO. My one dream was to marry my husband and by gosh did I do that! But truthfully, serving others is my passion and people say if you do what you love you will find a way to make a living.

Anyways… after being a server, teacher, nanny and pharmaceutical sales rep I had enough. I loved every single one of them but I wasn’t completely happy. I felt that with my Bachelors I should be doing more… my pride took me out. Each job had it’s own reason for me moving on, but the missing piece in each job was not being able to directly change lives in the way that I wanted.

Needless to say, I liked my past jobs but didn’t love them or feel satisfied.

I now own my own business. I founded Hidden Gems Organizing in 2019 and haven’t looked back. I have a passion for organizing and creating spaces that families enjoy being in. Being a parent, working or stay at home, there is never enough time to do it all. I love being the person to help families get it done! Thanks to my nanny career, since I am not a mom, I am able to help new and seasoned families love the space they are in and help them use it more efficiently.

Along with that I also am a family assistant to a family who was brought to me by God… literally. This family is something I will never find again, and I can confidently say that. I truly mean, they are one of a kind unique in every aspect of the word family. I am able to love on this family and be there for them so they can use some of their time elsewhere. They have three amazing children who I would do anything for. Being this close to any family, traveling with them, keeping the kids when the parents are out of town… you see it all! the great, the good, and “the need some work times”. Have you seen a seasoned married couple disagree and still support each other through the argument? Have you seen kids be disciplined and loved through it? Have you seen two parents passionately raise a family, coach three kids’ sports, parent three dogs, run a nonprofit foundation in multiple states, run a small business, entertain family friends, and still make intentional time for their marriage? I can proudly say I am here as extra hands for a family who gives all their time and heart to others. This family does it all, and mom and dad work harder than anyone. They truly don’t NEED me because they always figure things out, and bust butt to be involved in every area of the kids lives, but I am honored to be part of it. This family cares for me and my husband, protects me, and makes intentional time for my marriage. Along with being part of their family I get to be part of their business and foundation. I have the honor of having my hands in it all and doing the backend work so that they have more time to reach more people and change more lives. This family is everything to me.

There it is. My dream job. I don’t know what God has for me in the future or how long I will get to keep this dream job of mine. I pray that I will be here for years to come and to see the fruit of it all. Watch the kids win championships. See the foundation bring hope to lives they are changing. See the kids off to college. But I know that nothing is promised and that I will take every day as a blessing in itself.

When I thought I would never find a dream job… this was handed right to me. I hope that if anything this inspires you to not feel stuck or feel that it is the end. No matter how big or small your dream job is, IT IS YOUR DREAM. If your dream is to be President, go full force. If your dream is to be a stay at home mom, you can do it! Stay faithful in all areas of your life and I can assure you that God will bless you. My life is proof that God sees your heart.
